The Gasolene Skate is Latest Invention.
Only a few weeks ago a Frenchman, Constantini, astounded Paris by exhibitions on electric motor skates. From the same city of sensations and novelties comes the gasolene skate—not the alcoholic skate, it may be added. Each of these skates contains a tiny air-cooled gasolene engine, developing one and one-half horsepower. The fuel, consisting of one pint of gasolene, sufficient for seventy-five kilometers, is carried in a tank around the waist, together with the batteries for the ignition. The wheels are eight inches in diameter, shod with pneumatic tires.
